Kazakh Government Agencies to Provide Services in English from 2020
The government agencies of Kazakhstan will start providing services in English from 2020, Kazakh Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev said.
“We will gradually move to the moment, starting from 2020, when we provide government services to foreign investors only in English. The centers of government services and government agencies, hospitals, schools, preschools, migration and tax departments will have English-speaking personnel,” Sagintayev said at Kazakhstan Global Investment Roundtable in Astana on Tuesday.
The government of Kazakhstan is determined to improve services provided to the investors, he added. In the future, the agencies of central and local governments will provide written replies in English to investors’ inquiries within ten working days, the prime minister said.
In addition, all laws and regulations applicable to investors will be translated into English and published on the websites of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Investment and Development, and National Agency Kazakh Invest.
Kazakhstan will also improve the entry procedures for foreign investors by introducing an electronic visa system and optimizing immigration control processes, Sagintayev said.
